The College of Education (CED) – Teacher Education Department (TED) of Cavite State University (CvSU) conducted the second phase of the “Project 3Cs: Changing Challenging Communities through Education, Inclusiveness, and Empowerment” at Indang Central Elementary School (ICES), Indang, Cavite, January 5.
With the theme: “Sama-samang Pagtutulungan ng Komunidad sa Pag-unawa, Pagmamalasakit at Pagmamahal para sa mga Batang Natatangi,” the activity was spearheaded by Dr. Jane J. Reyes, project leader, and the Office of the Department Chair with the support of the Office of College Dean, and attended by the teachers of ICES, TED faculty extensionists, and Education Circle.
This activity aimed to assist the ICES teachers in determining and assessing the skills and capabilities of their learners with special needs.
Mr. Harold S. Cerdon, TED faculty member, presented the topic titled “Helping learners with exceptionalities succeed in the general education classroom.” He emphasized that learners should enjoy education and must have the confidence to learn with a strong sense of self-worth for them to keep going even when things are tough.
The CED-TED will continue to provide training and seminars to serve the community. (from College of Education)
